CAMPUS RENEWAL MINISTRIES (CHOP), UT KNOXVILLE
Campus Renewal Ministries is a National Christian Ministry devoted to seeing transformation on college campuses for God’s glory. On the campus of UT Knoxville, this ministry can be found at the Campus House of Prayer (CHOP). Their building is one block south of Cumberland Avenue (behind Panera) on Lake Avenue – right on the UT Knoxville campus. Students can literally walk over and seek the Lord anytime. THE NAVIGATORS INTERNATIONAL MINISTRY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE
The Navigators seek to serve and help as students adjust to a new culture and home. Friendship programs, ESL and other practical acts of kindness open the doors for friendship, interaction and meaningful conversation. ESL AT CEDAR SPRINGS
Volunteers provide weekly English classes at CSPC for those who need to improve their language skills. Classes meet on Thursdays in the morning and in the evening. International students, visiting scholars, and foreign nationals working in Knoxville are invited to attend the classes. There is an optional Bible study held after the morning classes. The ESL students and teachers hold holiday parties, go on outings and picnics, and do other fun things together. CHURCH PLANT - CHRIST THE KING - JP/ROXBURY, BOSTON, MA
After completing a two-year church-planting internship with Christ the King Dorchester, Logan and Melissa Keck have planted a church in Egleston Square, a part of Boston that claims two neighborhoods, Jamaica Plain and Roxbury. They are building relationships and meeting with a core group for the purpose of discipling, training, and equipping leaders. Jamaica Plain is split demographically between a predominantly poor Hispanic group and a mostly white middle-to-upper middle class group that rarely enter into each other’s spheres. Roxbury is a predominantly African-American neighborhood that is also the home of a $20 million dollar mosque. CHURCH PLANT - CITY CHURCH OF SAN FRANCISCO
City Church began in February 1997 and has grown to a congregation of around 1,600 attendees. They partner with ministries throughout the city and the region ranging from homeless shelters and AIDS hospices to women’s crisis centers. WEARS VALLEY RANCH
Founded by Jim and Susan Wood in 1991, Wears Valley Ranch offers a Christian home, education, and counseling to children from families in crisis. Their vision is to see each child inspired to follow Christ, healed from the past, and equipped to reach their full potential. For up to 32 children, the Ranch provides year-round, Christ-centered homes complete with loving house parent couples and college-age mentors who give spiritual, physical and emotional support. Knoxville Christian Arts Ministries (KnoxCAM) is a performing arts outreach ministry directed by Dr. Jill Lagerberg. Its mission is to proclaim the good news of Jesus outside the walls of the church building, and it ministers primarily in prisons and jails across Tennessee.
