It's time for Cedar Springs to build our 19th Habitat home!
BLITZ DAY is Saturday, September 9. Additional build days are all Saturdays: September 16 and 23, and October 14 and 21.
Our homeowner this year is Jeanna, a single mom of son Nicholas, who will graduate from high school next year, and daughter Brooklyn, who is in elementary school. Originally from Jonesborough, TN, Jeanna moved to Knoxville to attend the Tennessee School for the Deaf, and stayed in the area.
We will be building their home at 1421 Border Street, Knoxville TN 37914. (See the day by day build schedule at bottom of page.)
Please take a look at the Volunteer Handbook (loaded with important information!) and print and complete the Waiver of Liability. EVERY volunteer is required to submit a completed Release and Waiver of Liability before working at the site.
TRANSPORTATION will be provided from the church to the build site and back to the church each day of the build. Register to ride the bus when you sign up. Meet the bus in the parking lot at the Sanctuary entrance no later than 6:45 a.m. on Saturday, September 9; no later than 7:20 a.m. on September 16 and 23; and no later than 7:45 a.m. on October 14 and 21. If you are working the afternoon shift on September 9, meet the bus at the church no later than 10:55 a.m. Lunch at the build site is from 11:30-12:30. The bus will leave the build site at approximately 12:30 after lunch and at the end of the day to return to the church.
If you are driving on your own, please remember the build site is in a residential area. Please be respectful of those who live there, and take care not to block driveways.
