VMC (3)

Refugee Ministry - There are opportunities to mentor a refugee student that goes to your school. Many students need help with their class work and their english. Please contact Almaz Gemechu at almaz@cspc.net if you would like to be a student mentor. Also, there are summer opportunities to help lead local Refugee Ministry Day Camps at the Canlser YMCA. We need students to help lead recreation time. Please contact Mark Steimer at marksteimer@cspc.net for more information.

Choir Tour - Rejoice! Youth Choir goes on an annual Choir Tour where they travel to different churches and ministries and serve through voice and music. For more information on Rejoice! Choir Tour, please contact Jordan Cross at jordancross@cspc.net, (865) 291-5241.

Summer Serving Opportunities (local and abroad)

  • Hosting a Spanish Student (Young Life Madrid) - High School Ministry partners with our missionaries David, Drew, Sharalyn, & Emily in Madrid to help host high school students for the month of July each summer. These students come to Knoxville for a month with Young Life, spend 3 weeks with families in Knoxville and a week at Sharptop Cove, hearing the Gospel like never before. It is like bringing the mission field to you.
  • Summer Abroad Mission Trips - Many students go on short-term mission trips set up by Cedar Springs. Multi-generational short-term mission opportunities are available to China, Ethiopia, and Haiti. We will keep you posted as opportunities become available.
