Job Description

The purpose of the intern position in the Student Ministries Department at CSPC is:

  1. To give those considering full time vocational ministry a two-year
    (structured) opportunity to experience that ministry first-hand and discern their own calling and giftedness.
  2. To train and equip those considering full-time ministry with students for current and future Kingdom service.

Accountability/Supervision:

All interns will be ultimately accountable to and under the supervision of the Director of Student Ministries.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • To have daily contact with students
  • To be actively involved in planning and running camps and retreats
  • To be actively involved in planning and leading weekly meetings
  • To be a major component in assimilation of those graduating into the program over the summer
  • To be actively involved in CU planning and programming
  • To be involved in planning and running of summer mission trips
  • To be actively involved in leading and enabling small groups
  • To assist in recruitment, training, and nurture of volunteers
  • To be involved in staff meetings and weekly training meetings
  • To spend time in study, reading, and preparation for events and training
  • To be involved in planning and leading certain seasonal events
  • To help with whatever ongoing administrative tasks might need to be done
  • To have set office time each week to be available for whatever
  • To meet weekly with your mentor

Weekly Involvement in:

  • Personal spiritual disciplines
  • Set office time
  • Personal and staff study/reading and discussion
  • Sunday School, small group Bible study, Sun p.m. meeting, Wed. p.m. meeting
  • Relational ministry to kids
  • Enabling ministry to adult volunteers
  • Intern training meeting and staff lunch
  • Monday morning Chapel

Hours:
A minimum of 40hours per week.
Commitment: Two years, unless otherwise stated.
