Worship Band

Above all things, Cedar Springs worship band strives, in the power of the Holy Spirit, to humbly and joyfully assist the gathered church in the "white-hot enjoyment of God's glory"*. The non-negotiable values giving the band its thrust and drive every Sunday are: 

  • a desire to create a culture of unity instead of uniformity (Ephesians 4:3, 1 Peter 3:8)
  • a goal for providing artistic assistance in worship with undistracting excellence (Psalm 33:3)
  • the appreciation for both folk art simplicity and fine art profundity (2 Samuel 24:24)
  • a commitment to rely on and pursue the power of the Holy Spirit with desperate dependance, eager expectation, and humble responsiveness (Ephesians 6:18, Jude 20, Romans 8:26), putting no confidence in the flesh (Philippians 3:3)
  • the commending to the coming generation the passionate pursuit of God's presence and the proclamation of his power (Psalm 145:4-7, 10-12)
