At Christmas, we celebrate Jesus’ first coming as a baby, when He came to be our Rescuer and Redeemer, Healer, and Comforter. But we also anticipate His second coming, when He will wipe away all the tears, all the sadness, all the pain, all the brokenness, and all the death.

If your heart is aching this Christmas season, know this truth with certainty: there will be a day when your Father will heal all that aches. A day when He will fully restore all that has been broken. And that truth gives us sweet hope and a reason to celebrate this Christmas no matter how broken we may feel because without Jesus’ first coming, we could not anticipate the day when He would wipe all our tears away.
