Joni & Friends Family Retreat offers a haven for families living with disability. This retreat will provide a fun, accessible, Christ-centered experience for each member of the family. We will provide a volunteer team for camp July 21-26.

There are many ways to serve while at Family Retreat. Each of the campers and siblings are paired with a buddy for the week—this is the most popular way to serve and our highest need. We also have opportunities to serve in more specialized ways such as recreation, arts and crafts, and more.

Joni & Friends ask that the volunteers pay their way to come to Family Retreat. This covers the cost of lodging and food for the week, as well as helps keep costs manageable for the families attending Family Retreat. The cost for volunteers to attend is $450/person. The Mission department at Cedar Springs is going to pay $250 toward that cost. Also, if you are a college student, our College Ministry is going to support you with another $100. Of course, money should not be a reason for you not to serve on this team. If you’d like to serve and need help with the remaining balance, please reach out.

July 21 will be a training day for the volunteer team. When you apply – select INDIVIDUAL VOLUNTEER APPLICATION. Please indicate you are with Cedar Springs. Once you have submitted your application, please let Cary Lewis know to initiate the $250 payment from Cedar Springs on your behalf.
