Ready to Worship!

August 18, 2024

Start: 8:00 am

Location: Sanctuary

We believe that families should worship together and children are welcome and wanted in the sanctuary for worship. Every child is different, so for those that need some help transitioning into worship in the sanctuary, Cedar Springs Presbyterian is coming alongside families with Ready to Worship! for kindergarten, first, and second graders.

What is Ready to Worship!?

Video Message from James

  • A program to help kindergarten, first, and second graders and their parents with the transition into worship in the sanctuary.
  • Begins August 18
  • Available during the 8am service.
  • Parents who register their child for the class are committing to sign up to help once per semester.
  • Our hope is to assist parents as they seek to disciple their children into a love of worship and the Lord.
  • Ready to Worship Includes silly songs, scenarios that might happen in worship, techniques to handle those scenarios, learning a worship song that will be played in the sanctuary the next week, learning how to find scripture in the Bible, visits from people the children will encounter on a Sunday morning in the sanctuary.
  • Children are ALWAYS welcome in worship. No matter what, they are welcome.

Parent Commitment: In order to make Ready to Worship a safe and secure experience for the children, all parents who register their child for the class are committing to sign up to help once per semester.

Ready to Worship! will include “I can Worship” days where your child will remain with parents for the whole service. These “practice” days will allow for valuable feedback from parents on areas that are still a struggle and will fall around school holidays. A schedule will be sent out to registered families.

Ready to Worship Includes:

  • silly songs
  • scenarios that might happen in worship
  • techniques to handle those scenarios
  • learning a worship song that will be played in the sanctuary the next week
  • learning how to find scripture in the Bible
  • visits from people the children will encounter on a Sunday morning

Our hope is to assist parents as they seek to disciple their children into a love of worship and the Lord.
