Pastoral Prayer
Father, God, you are robed in majesty.  You are great, and mighty.  You are strong and cannot be moved.  You are eternal and reign forever.  You are King of Creation; the wind and the rain are at your command.  Your plan cannot be thwarted, and we know we can always trust in your ways. Father, we see in your character we see faithfulness.  Your mercies are new every morning, in our laments, and in our joys.  And your steadfast love never ceases, great is your faithfulness. It brings us comfort to know that our unfaithfulness does not nullify your faithfulness.  We can trust in your truth, your Word, and you never change, you are the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Hear now our prayers of adoration for who you are and what you’ve done for us:
Father, you call us to care for one another, and to pray for one another.  We now pray for those in need.  We pray now for those who are experiencing the pain of loss of a loved one, we express our love and sympathy to Mark and Karen Doerger, along with their children, Tori, Will, Catie, and Alex, in the passing of Mark’s father, James “Jim” Doerger.  The others who are among who are sick and suffering, we pray for Gregg Thomas, Mike Moore, Wanda Mooney, Brenda Prince, and Nancy Moore.

Hear our prayers in the silence for the many others who are on our hearts:
Father, you are faithful to your mission, to give new life to those who were once trapped in sin and death, and we pray for your gospel mission to redeem the lost with the saving news of the death and resurrection of your son, Jesus Christ.

Today we consider what we saw on the video earlier regarding the Mekong Region and the ministry that is now bearing fruit.  We give thanks for the faithful efforts of Jeff Alvarez as they’ve long to see indigenous believers and churches which are now coming about.  Thank you for the work of your Spirit among these people.  Father, to hear reports of new believers and new churches where there was neither, we give thanks for your faithfulness to your bride, the church.  Your faithfulness to send missionaries to places and people who desperately need to hear of your grace and gospel.  We give you all the glory.

We also pray for Patricio Oyarzun in Chile.  Would you multiply their work there.  Be with him as recruits and trains young church planters in the Vina Del Mar region near Santiago.  Would you encourage him with your faithfulness.  We pray for the three new churches that have already been planted.  (need additional details here)

We bring all these prayers because of the great work done by your Son, Jesus, our Savior, our Rock, and our Redeemer.  We pray for this in His beautiful and life-giving name, Amen.
